The Governor of the Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, during the VI Slavic International Economic Forum answered questions from journalists, predicting fantastic changes in the economy.
“We cannot say that we have signed significant and insignificant agreements today,” the governor said. - There are simply agreements that are more capacious in monetary terms and less capacious. But they are all significant.
Speaking about new technologies, Alexander Bogomaz admitted that he was pleased with the successes of those enterprises that barely made ends meet three years ago:
- We hold seminars there, we show that they are succeeding in agriculture. They get crops, they get milk, they get weight gain, which means they get money.
The governor was asked about agricultural exports.
“More than 130 million tons of grain will be produced in Russia this year,” said Alexander Bogomaz. - In the Bryansk region, we produce more than 400 thousand tons of meat. This requires 1,2 million tons of grain. Plus, we also have flour-grinding products, confectionery products, and other areas where grain is used. And of course, this is export. This year we exported 17 thousand tons of wheat to Belarus. This suggests that today the Bryansk region grows high-quality wheat, the same as that grown in the Kuban.
Yesterday, the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor department told me that they checked all the grain that was produced in the Bryansk region according to quality indicators. Almost 600 thousand tons of wheat has been threshed, and more than 50 percent is grain that corresponds to grade 3. About 30 percent is grain, which corresponds to grade 4. The rest is fodder.
Journalists asked whether the quality of grain will affect the price of bread.
“This is a question that everyone is asking today,” the governor answered. - And if the grain is not 10, but 7 rubles? And today, indeed, food grain costs around 9 rubles, last year it was 10. But last year our bakers said that we need to increase the cost of bread so as not to work at a loss. And this year they will not raise the price of bread. Bread in the Bryansk region will not rise in price, and this is already pleasing. Three years ago, milk cost 10 - 12 rubles, today - up to 25. And we began to build new livestock complexes.
The governor said that you can’t bet only on one business:
- Today, the director of Bezhitsky Bakery Sergey Pilipushko said that farmers supply grain. Today, someone is happy or unhappy with Miratorg, but this company has become a good engine for everyone else. About a million hectares of land are cultivated today. Miratorg cleans almost 20 thousand hectares of wood annually, the remaining producers - about 13-15 thousand more. It is Miratorg that moves them forward.
Alexander Bogomaz said that the authorities do not focus on Western investors:
- We focus on our investors! There is Transhmashholding, which includes BMZ, the same Klintsovsky truck crane plant, the same Novozybkovsky machine-building plant, Metakley, Okhotno, Miratorg, Dobronravov Agro, Krasny Oktyabr. Next year we will make a film about how tractors will plant potatoes on the field. As the rector of the Agrarian University Nikolay Belous said today, those young specialists who have received the specialty of livestock farming are in demand. A novice specialist has a salary of about 80 thousand rubles, an agronomist - about 60 thousand rubles, and for lawyers and economists - only 25. Today the vector has changed.
