Potato harvest 2019
According to East-Fruit, last year's potato market remained relatively stable this week, and the most significant changes were recorded in Central Asia. From the countries of the European part of the monitoring of the project, it is worth noting, although insignificant, but still the rise in price of potato harvest 2019 in Russia and Poland.
So, amid a reduction in the supply of high-quality products at the end of the season with active export, potatoes in Russia for the current week rose in price to $ 0,19-0,31 / kg. In Poland, last year's domestic potato went up to $ 0,22-0,31 / kg, and products imported from the Netherlands or Belgium could be purchased at $ 0,26-0,38 / kg.
The prices for potatoes in Moldova also rose a little. At the end of this week, the harvest of 2019 could be purchased on the Moldovan market at $ 0,28-0,45 / kg, and the main suppliers of potatoes were Russia and Belarus.
In Belarus, meanwhile, the lowest prices for potatoes remained among all countries included in the regular monitoring of the project. Moreover, this week they even fell slightly to $ 0,15-0,26 / kg.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine and Georgia, prices for the week remained virtually unchanged ($ 0,26-0,33 / kg and $ 0,37-0,62 / kg, respectively), and the most active pace of their revision, as mentioned earlier, were recorded in Central Asian countries.
So, in Uzbekistan, after falling the previous week, prices for crop products in 2019 rose again to $ 0,32-0,50 / kg. In Tajikistan, meanwhile, last year's potato fell in price to $ 0,59-0,78 / kg.
Central Asian countries have also been leaders in the growth rate of potato prices since the fall of 2019. In Tajikistan, potatoes managed to triple in price since the beginning of September last year, and prices in Uzbekistan more than doubled. Meanwhile, in Georgia and Russia over the same period, potatoes rose in price by an average of two-thirds, and in Moldova - by a third. It should be noted that in Belarus, prices in US dollars have not practically changed since the fall of last year, and in Poland and Ukraine, potatoes even fell in price (an average of 18%).

The potato market of the new crop was universally characterized by lower prices. At the same time, prices were least active in Russia and Poland. In Poland, the production of a new crop of Greek or Cyprus production fell somewhat to $ 0,43-0,67 / kg.
The highest prices for early potatoes were still fixed in Ukraine, although here they were rather actively revised downward. At the end of the reporting period, it was possible to purchase new crop products on the Ukrainian market at $ 0,96-1,97 / kg, and domestic suppliers almost completely occupied key market positions.
The countries of Central Asia continued their active harvesting campaign, and prices here again fell to $ 0,59-0,78 / kg in Tajikistan and $ 0,40-0,63 / kg in Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, in Georgia, the first relatively large batches of potatoes of a new crop were offered at $ 0,87-0,94 / kg.
