Potato System magazine publishes a daily report on the situation in the table potato market. We receive information about prices and harvesting progress from agricultural producers from different regions of Russia.
As of September 6, 2022, Russian potato growers were selling table potatoes (lots of 20 tons or more) at prices ranging from 10 to 20 rubles/kg. The cheapest products could be purchased in Novosibirsk (10 rubles/kg), Tula (11 rubles/kg), Nizhny Novgorod regions (11.90 rubles/kg), Republic of Mari El (11 rubles/kg), Udmurt Republic (11 rub./kg).
Potatoes were slightly more expensive in the Chuvash Republic, Kursk, Smolensk, Rostov, Kirov regions (12 rubles/kg) and the Republic of Crimea (12.5 rubles/kg).
The average price level (from 13 to 14 rubles/kg) was established in the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Vologda, Leningrad, Pskov, Omsk, Kostroma, Samara, and Kemerovo regions; Perm, Stavropol, Krasnoyarsk regions.
Slightly higher (from 15 to 16 rubles/kg) the bar was raised in the Tambov, Yaroslavl, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Novgorod regions and the Altai Territory. And the highest prices for potatoes (20 rubles/kg) were recorded in Karelia and Primorsky Krai.
