In the Kostroma region, for agricultural enterprises that increase the area for planting vegetables and potatoes, a double coefficient is introduced when providing state support measures. The corresponding decree was signed by Governor Sergei Sitnikov, the press service of the administration of the Kostroma region reports. An increase in production volumes will contribute to the stabilization of prices for vegetables of the “borscht set”.
“The strategic task is to fill the regional market as much as possible by increasing the sown area and harvesting. We must not allow food products to be washed out from the regional market in order to keep prices for products that are produced on Kostroma land, ”the governor emphasizes.
To encourage farmers to expand the planting of vegetables and potatoes, the AIC Department has developed an additional set of measures. For farms that increase the area, a double coefficient is introduced when receiving state support measures for each additional hectare.
About 46 million rubles are provided in the budget of the Kostroma region to support farmers in the field of crop production this year. Agricultural producers will be able to receive subsidies in the spring before the sowing campaign. Documents will be accepted in the department of agro-industrial complex from March 14 to 18.
