For five years, specialists from the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosselkhozcenter in the Krasnoyarsk Territory have been helping agricultural producers determine the need for plants in macro- and microelements in a timely manner using the Aquadonis functional express laboratory.
In 2023, sheet diagnostics was carried out in 26 farms in 7 districts of the region (Karatuzsky, Krasnoturansky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Nazarovsky, Uzhursky, Shushensky). Compared to 2019, the number of surveyed fields in 2023 increased by 2 times (Fig. 1).
The crops of the following crops were examined: spring wheat, barley, oats, peas, rape, corn, alfalfa, sainfoin, mustard, soybeans. In the current year, the bulk of the studied samples were spring cereal crops - 70%, corn - 8%, oats - 6%, rapeseed - 6%, peas - 5%, soybeans - 3%, alfalfa - 1%, sainfoin - 0,5 %, mustard - 0,5%.
As a result of the diagnostics, it was found that cobalt (Co) was the main missing nutrient in the tillering phase of cereal crops.
Wheat is most sensitive to cobalt deficiency. With its deficiency, the conditions for the flow of physiological and biochemical processes and plant growth worsen; the productivity and quality of the crop decreases, the development of the root system worsens, a pale green color of the leaves appears, which later changes to yellow or red.
These studies are carried out as part of phytosanitary monitoring and allow for a comprehensive assessment of the state of crops. Based on the research results, agricultural producers were given recommendations on foliar top dressing.
