On Tuesday, November 19, the International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment and Materials for the Production and Processing of Crop Production “YUGAGRO” began at the Expograd South Exhibition and Exhibition Complex.
Opening the exhibition, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev noted that over the years of its existence, the exhibition has become a leading working platform for communication, business meetings, and the acquisition of new equipment. “Today representatives of more than 35 countries are present here - these are the leading manufacturers of Great Britain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, China. We have different approaches to farming, but the goal is the same - growing and producing high-quality products, improving life in the countryside, developing the agro-industrial complex and the economy of our countries, ”said Veniamin Kondratyev.
On the same day, the main event of the business program of the YUGAGRO exhibition took place - the plenary session “Agribusiness protection: problems and solutions”. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Governor of the Kuban Andrei Korobka, who told in his speech about the region's implementation of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”. The data he cited in his report inspires optimism: for example, the planned appointment for 2019, set as part of the implementation of the international cooperation and export national project, was completed in the region by 83,4%, which is almost $ 2 billion.
The largest export volumes, according to the deputy head of the region, fall on grain crops - $ 1,4 billion. Within the framework of the national project, the Kuban authorities plan to increase the export of agricultural products to $ 3,8 billion in five years, or 46% to the level of 2018.
According to Andrei Korobka, this year the growth in exports of oil and fat products amounted to 37%, condensed canned food - 43%, cheese - 40% and wine production - 13%. Compared to last year, deliveries increased almost tenfold.
The vice-governor also noted that the export of agricultural products was increased in the region, including due to the modernization of enterprises and increasing their competitiveness. In addition, the region is ready to help potential exporting enterprises in entering the foreign market.
“Starting this year, enterprises of the confectionery region begin to receive regional subsidies for the purchase of raw materials. Reclamation measures are subsidized from the federal and regional budgets to increase the commodity stock of agricultural products, ”the vice-governor added.
The situation on the Russian grain market was told to the audience by the president of the Russian Grain Union (RZS) Arkady Zlochevsky. According to him, this season, the profitability for grain increased to 20%, from 11% last season, but this is not enough yet - to maintain the current investment potential, you need to have a profitability of at least 30%, and for expanded reproduction you need a profitability of 30-40%. Of the good news, Arkady Zlochevsky noted Russia's victory in the tender announced by Saudi Arabia for the supply of grain, the supply volume will be 1,02 million tons of barley.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, Saudi Arabia is the main importer of Russian barley - according to the results of the 2017-2018 agricultural year (July 2017 - June 2018), the export of barley from Russia to the kingdom exceeded 2,7 million tons. In addition, the country annually purchases for world markets more than 3 million tons of wheat.
The plenary session was also attended by Pavel Kosov, Director General of Rosagroleasing JSC, President of the Rosspetsmash Association, President of the Novoe Sodruzhestvo Industrial Union Konstantin Babkin, heads and representatives of regional branch departments.
