The International Agro-Industrial Exhibition Agrovolga 2022 was held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center. This year, 415 companies from 42 regions of Russia, as well as from Turkey, Belarus, South Korea, Australia and the Netherlands took part in it. The Engineering Center of the Timiryazev Academy presented a robotic soil sampler with the appropriate software for precision farming at the exhibition, reports press service of the university.
At the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition AGROVOLGA 2022, more than 100 thousand sq. meters of the exhibition center and adjacent fields, the companies demonstrated their achievements in breeding, the field of fertilizers and plant protection products. Manufacturers of agricultural machinery and spare parts exhibited over 100 pieces of equipment.
The Engineering Center of the Timiryazev Academy presented its innovative project - a robotic soil sampler, developed jointly with the Research and Production Center "Roboprob".
The caterpillar self-propelled agricultural machine provides full automation of soil sampling with GPS/GLONASS positioning accuracy up to 1 m, replacing the hard physical labor of at least five specialists, guaranteeing high quality work and excluding the human factor. The caterpillar mover provides the speed of movement on the ground from point to point up to 35 km / h, while the productivity of mixed samples is up to 20 pieces per hour. Currently, research is underway to improve the design of the sampler, field tests and the development of recommendations for the serial use of the machine, as well as testing the corresponding cloud service.
The academy's industrial partner, KleverFarmer, where the robotic sampler was presented, offers developed special software for soil analysis. Thanks to this, the route of the device is pre-programmed online, and after receiving soil tests, it is displayed on the map of the KleverFarmer platform in tabular form and in the form of layers on the sampler’s route map.
Agricultural holdings, both already using and implementing digital technologies for precision farming, are especially interested in the innovative project of Timiryazevka.
