Robotti autonomous robotic systems from the Danish company AgroIntelli are helping farmers across Europe and beyond to fill an acute labor shortage, according to the official website of the company.
The company is seeing triple-digit growth in sales of its robotic system between 2020 and 2021. With many countries experiencing critical labor shortages on farms, AgroIntelli expects further sales growth this year. Robotti systems are used by farmers in Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Azerbaijan and Australia.
Robotti is used on a number of farms specializing in growing vegetables, potatoes, strawberries. Robots work in tandem with agricultural tools and equipment from recognized manufacturers. AgroIntelli has partnered with KULT, a German company that develops in-row weeders that clean plant spacings.
“This system is used in the work of the German economy. The platform differs in universality of operation with a possibility of fastening of the numerous hinged equipment. It can be used for seeding, spraying, weeding, as well as less standard implements such as mowers, potato hillers, planters, rollers and more. We work with implement manufacturers, which allows us to test this with them in order to offer our customers a complete Robotti system designed to improve efficiency in specific crops.” - Jakob Bebe, Commercial Director, AgroIntelli.
The speed of robotic equipment is 1 ha/h. Manufacturers note the complete autonomy of the robots.
According to Jakob Bebe, the payback of the equipment is two years and depends on the area under crops, field sizes, crop volumes and the intensity of the use of robots.
The robotic systems are powered by Kubota diesel engines and have an easy-to-maintain power plant. Thanks to the engine, it is possible to work with heavy attachments.
