In December 2022, the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Oryol and Kursk regions monitored the phytosanitary condition of seed and ware potatoes stored in the Oryol and Kursk regions to identify bacterial ring rot of potatoes (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus) and potato stem nematode (Ditylenchus destructor Thorne).
Officials of the Department controlled 41210 tons of potatoes, including 27960 tons of seed and 13249 tons of food, selected 36 samples:
- on the territory of the Oryol region - 33931 tons (27940 tons of seed and 5991 tons of food, 26 samples);
- on the territory of the Kursk region - 7278,8 tons (20,8 tons of seed and 7258 food, 10 samples).
Based on the results of phytosanitary measures, no harmful objects were found in six potato-growing farms in the Oryol region and in ten Kursk regions, which was confirmed by the results of laboratory studies conducted by FGBI ARRIAH.
