The old building for agricultural machinery in Taldom near Moscow is being reconstructed into a modernized repository of elite potato varieties, according to the regional Ministry of Housing Policy.
The new production will be focused on the development of seed production - the breeding of high-quality potato seeds, which will later be used for food.
“The potatoes will be of the“ elite ”and“ super-elite ”class. According to the developer JSC "Agrofirma" Bunyatino ", the task of the employees will be not only to lay out the potatoes, but also to cultivate them in the field and to harvest them on time," the article says.
The farm parking lot was built back in the 1950s, so its reconstruction is necessary. Investments in the project will amount to up to 400 million rubles.
“After reconstruction it is planned to place more than 10 tons of high-class potatoes in the building. The premises will meet all modern requirements; it is planned to introduce a modernized ventilation system. Commissioning is scheduled for the first half of 2021, new jobs will appear, ”said the Minister of Housing Policy of the region Inna Fedotova.
