The situation with harvesting vegetables in most Russian farms is not simple - there are not enough workers. Even with the modern level of mechanization, it is difficult to do without manual labor. Students of the Yakhroma Agrarian College came to the aid of the agrarians of the Dmitrovsky district.
For students, participation in this project is voluntary, the work lasts a month and is counted as industrial practice. The guys earn 1500 rubles a day.
The main task of the students is the selection of potatoes behind the combine, the collection of carrots, as well as the sorting and packing of vegetables on the lines. The student's working day in practice begins at 6 am and lasts 8 hours with a lunch break.
Viktor Kolosov, deputy director of the Dmitrovsky technical school (which includes the Yakhroma college), emphasizes that students of this educational institution receive promising professions: for example, a machine operator can earn 100-150 thousand rubles a month during a season. But they must also understand the importance of manual labor when harvesting vegetables.
Those guys who showed themselves excellently in harvesting are hired by the company for permanent work, "attaching" an experienced machine operator to each newcomer.
Students of the agricultural college this year help in cleaning and other large agricultural enterprises of the region. This is a profitable social partnership, enterprises are very interested in knowledgeable and responsible graduates.
