Vegetable producers advise residents of the region to stock up on potatoes while prices remain relatively affordable. As noted by the news portal Astrakhan Fm, if in the summer you could buy potatoes in the region for 30 rubles, then in October the price tag had already reached the 50-ruble mark.
The rise in prices in the region is explained by a shortage of products. As of August 1, in the Astrakhan region, half of the potatoes were harvested compared to the same period in previous years. Planting volumes this season had to be significantly reduced due to a lack of manpower. This year, the region missed eleven thousand labor migrants. There was no one to replace workers from Uzbekistan - local workers do not go into this area.
