Potatoes on an area of more than 4 thousand hectares will be planted in the Dmitrovsky district - this is 83 hectares more than in 2021, the official website of the Administration of the Dmitrovsky urban district of the Moscow region reports. Currently, the district's farms are actively preparing for spring field work.
At a weekly meeting with members of the government and heads of municipalities, the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov noted the topical issue of using the region's lands in the sowing campaign. The planned area for planting potatoes in the Dmitrovsky urban district this year will increase by 83 hectares and amount to more than 4 thousand hectares. Leading agricultural producers such as Bunyatino JSC, DGT LLC, Mosagrofood-d LLC, Agroprodukt JSC and a number of small enterprises are actively preparing for the start of spring field work.
— Potatoes are traditionally one of the most popular food products and are in constant demand. It is important that our farmers increase the planting area this year. Also this season, we are additionally putting into circulation 126,1 hectares of previously unused land - this is a good indicator, - commented the head of the Dmitrovsky urban district, Ilya Ponochevny.
Also on the territory of the district there is an agricultural enterprise Doka-Gene Technologies LLC, which has developed, patented and industrially uses innovative technologies for the production of virus-free mini-tubers of potatoes. The enterprise has completely solved the problem of import substitution, both for its own production and for supplying potato producers - the production of seed potatoes here is 7,2 thousand tons per year.
