The head of the farm, Petr Svaritsevich from the Kortkeros district, took advantage of a new subsidy for increased areas for planting potatoes. He received from the regional Ministry of Agriculture about a million rubles for planting potatoes and vegetables in open ground on an area of 8 hectares, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia reports.
“It is very gratifying that the regional government is helping local producers to develop and live. This year, thanks to the support, I will plant 8 hectares of potatoes, radishes, and beets. I plan to deliver my vegetables to schools and kindergartens in the region. I would like the regional Ministry of Agriculture to help with permanent sales channels for products,” the farmer shared.
One of such marketing channels for a farmer can be weekend fairs, which are regularly held in the municipalities of the Komi Republic and are in demand among the population and guests of the republic.
