Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Andrei Razin and Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnodar Territory Fyodor Dereka visited one of the largest Kuban farms engaged in the production of potatoes - Onishchenko Farm, Timashevsky District. The enterprise is equipped with a modern vegetable storehouse with a capacity of 6 thousand tons with refrigerators and a packaging line.
As Andrei Razin noted, this year the Russian Ministry of Agriculture launched a federal project to stimulate the production of potatoes and vegetables.
– From 2024, within its framework, the reimbursement of direct costs incurred for the creation and modernization of vegetable and potato storage facilities will be increased. Compensation will increase from 20 to 25% of the project cost, recalled the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The Deputy Minister also stressed the importance of developing our own potato selection and suggested setting up demonstration crops of this crop on the basis of a farm. This will allow farmers to see for themselves the competitiveness and high potential of domestic seed material.
- In the Krasnodar Territory, on the basis of advanced farms, demonstration crops are planted annually from seeds of domestic selection of such crops as sunflower, corn, sugar beet. We are ready to get involved in this work on other agricultural crops, - said Fedor Dereka.
