The construction of a complex for storage, sorting and deep processing of potatoes is being completed on the territory of the Shatura urban district of the Moscow region. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrei Razin.
“A complex for storage and sorting of potatoes with a capacity of 16 thousand tons of simultaneous storage and a production capacity of 50 thousand tons of potato products per year is under construction. Currently, the construction readiness of the facility is 90%. The production part is already fully equipped in the vegetable store, 3 chambers for storing potatoes are fully functioning, engineering communications have been installed, climatic equipment has been installed, ”said Andrei Razin.
The investment project is being implemented by the Agroforvard enterprise. The farm produces elite seed potatoes of the Dutch varieties in the Moscow Region, grows wheat, rape and oats.
“The volume of products produced by the farm per year is about 4 thousand tons of elite and reproductive seed potatoes of eight varieties. Today this agricultural enterprise has 3 potato storages with a total storage volume of about 7 thousand tons with a sorting and packing workshop, ”noted Andrei Razin.
According to the minister, the enterprise achieves one of the highest grain yields in the Moscow region. For example, the yield of spring wheat last year was 43,6 c / ha, in some areas - up to 56 c / ha, for winter wheat - 39,5 c / ha. The total area of land plots cultivated by the farm in the Shatura urban district is 1,2 thousand hectares.
“The volume of investments in the new complex for storage, sorting and deep processing of potatoes will amount to 200 million rubles. Commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, ”added Andrey Razin in conclusion.
