Since its foundation in 2001, the WELTEC group of companies from Vechta (Germany) has gone through all stages of development and has become one of the world's leading companies in the construction and operation of biogas and biomethane plants. Thanks to conceptual technical solutions, reliability and durability of installations, 24/7 service, this group of companies covers the entire value chain of energy production from biogas.
The advantage of WELTEC BIOPOWER is individual, technically sophisticated solutions for installations up to ten megawatts. The key to success is the fact that most of the components are independently developed by the company's engineers. Superiority is also based on the use of high quality steel as a structural material. The high-quality material enables a wide variety of substrate applications, quick and low-cost installation and a consistently high quality standard regardless of location. After commissioning, the technical and biological service of the plants by WELTEC ensures a significant profitability.
The company also has extensive experience in the production and use of biogas. Our own plants at nine production sites produce 96 million standard cubic meters of biogas annually. The largest part is processed into biomethane and supplied through the public gas supply network to electricity suppliers and operators of gas stations. In addition, in this way, 16 objects in Germany are supplied with heat in a decentralized manner - communities and enterprises, including organizations working in the fields of gardening, housing, health.
Proximity to customers and investors is an important endeavor of biogas specialists, which is why the WELTEC group of companies has offices (with dealer and service networks) all over the world. Clients include waste treatment plants, food processing, agriculture and wastewater treatment organizations. The WELTEC group of companies, thanks to the efforts of its 80 employees, has erected more than 300 power plants in 25 countries of the world on 5 continents. Thus, CO emissions2 (aq) (carbon dioxide dissolved in water) is reduced by about 485.000 tons per year.
WELTEC pays particular attention to the fermentation of organic waste, including the use of potato residues for energy production. WELTEC has already successfully implemented such systems for customers in several countries. The plant in France was built in 2018 and uses about 22000 tons of potato chips production waste annually. It produces about 1,75 million Nm annually3 green gas with an energy value of 17440 MWh. The return on investment for this green project is less than five years.
