Sowing of the main agricultural crops has been completed in the Nizhny Novgorod region In particular, sowing of grain crops was carried out on an area of 393,7 thousand hectares, sugar beet - on 11,2 thousand hectares; potatoes were planted on an area of 13,6 thousand hectares, vegetables - on 800 hectares.
“This year, the sowing took place in very difficult weather conditions. Despite the fact that early spring allowed agrarians to start field work ahead of schedule, low temperatures and precipitations with an excess of rain held back the rate of sowing. Despite the complexity, the main sowing in the area is completed "- said the Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolai Denisov.
The head of the agrarian department noted that the availability of high-performance equipment on the farms, as well as the timely delivery of subsidies for field work - the purchase of seeds, fertilizers, fuel, plant protection products, spare parts, agricultural machinery, etc.
“At the same time, heavy rainfall positively affected the growth and development of winter crops. This year they are preserved much better than in the past. For the full development of plants, they are fully fed. Harvest views are not bad. ”, - continued Nikolay Denisov.
At the same time, the minister noted that agricultural producers continue work aimed at the formation of the crop: fertilizing spring crops is being carried out in the fields; chemical weeding of crops; processing plants from diseases and pests.
Recall that in 2020 it is planned to allocate more than 4 billion rubles of state support funds for the development of agricultural enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Currently, subsidies in the amount of 1,6 billion rubles have already been brought to farmers, including funds allocated for field work - the purchase of seeds, fertilizers, fuel, plant protection products, spare parts, agricultural machinery, etc.
Earlier it was reported that this year, farmers received 8,7 billion rubles of soft loans under the federal and regional programs and more than 300 million rubles of soft loans from the regional “Support Fund for AIC”. Some of the funds raised were also attracted by agricultural producers to conduct the sowing campaign.
