An exhibition-fair "Siberian Dacha" was held in Krasnoyarsk. Companies offering seed material, seedlings of fruit trees, flowers, seedlings and much more presented their products at the largest industry platform in the region.
At the stand of the Dary Malinovki agricultural holding, a wide selection of elite seed potatoes was demonstrated, experts talked about the properties of 14 varieties presented at the exhibition, advised on choosing the best variety for planting, depending on taste and gastronomic preferences, shared practical experience in storing the crop, as well as presented a laboratory method for breeding virus-free tubers.
“One of the priority areas of the Dary Malinovki agricultural holding is the production of virus-free source material for potatoes,” said Ivan Timofeenko, director of the company's research and laboratory complex. - Within the framework of the exhibition, visitors learned about the five-year cycle of seed potato production and modern biotechnologies necessary to meet the requirements of the state standard: about PCR technology - diagnostics, microclonal reproduction. High-quality seed material is traditionally in demand, because the five-year production cycle is fully controlled at the enterprise. There was a high demand for seed potatoes among the visitors, many of them specially came to the exhibition in Dary Malinovki for this or that variety, and as a result, more than a thousand people bought potatoes for planting. "

Agroholding "Dary Malinovki" was founded in 2013, its main activities are the production of seed potatoes of elite varieties, the cultivation and processing of potatoes and open field vegetables, the cultivation of oilseeds and fodder crops, and dairy farming. The industrial infrastructure is located in the Sukhobuzimsky, Irbeysky and Bogotolsky districts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Dary Malinovki is a partner of the Krasnoyarsk Agrarian University. On August 13, 2020, on the basis of the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University, PCR was launched - a laboratory for microclonal reproduction of plants. It appeared thanks to the federal project "Development of selection and seed production of potato varieties adapted to growing conditions in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Eastern Siberia", supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The objective of the project is to obtain a healthy planting material and its accelerated multiplication for the industrial production of seeds of the “elite” category at a reduced cost. The following varieties were presented at the exhibition: Vega, Gala, Gulliver, Krasa Meshchera, Sadon, Colomba, Red Scarlett, Red Lady, Queen Anna, Pennant, Favorite, Meteor, Bettina, Fritella.
