On April 16, 2020, at the next plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies considered the draft law “On Amendments and Changes to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility”.
In accordance with it, the owners of personal plots, who did not take into account the official warning of the authorities about the need to plant crops on their lands, will bear administrative responsibility for this.
Thus, land owners who have not planted vegetables and other crops on their household plots will receive a warning first. Later, citizens who misuse the land will be fined in the amount of one to three basic design values. In case of repeated violation within a year after applying administrative punishment - from three to five basic calculated values.
According to deputies, the adoption of the document will serve the effective use of personal plots, increase the responsibility of their owners, ensure food security of the country and employment.
