Sizing is the process of sizing the product stream and is an important part of post-harvest handling. Fruits and vegetables of the same size are easier to pack, pack, process, store and, of course, sell.
Ware potatoes are usually sorted into three fractions: small - up to 40 mm in diameter, medium - from 40 to 60 mm, and large - over 60 mm.
When sorting seeds, the range of sizing sizes is wider, for example, the following groups can be distinguished: less than 25 mm, 25-30 mm, 30-40 mm, 40-50 mm and more than 50 mm.
Previously, the analysis of products by caliber was carried out manually or with the help of self-made units, according to the principle of the passage of the tuber through the specified slotted holes of the sieve.
Today, when for many farms (especially those that work with retail chains) the speed and accuracy of processing are of particular importance, farmers are trying to mechanize and automate this process.
A large selection of calibrators is presented on the modern machinery market, which allows each agricultural manufacturer to choose their optimal model that meets the necessary requirements for productivity, reliability, respect for raw materials, etc.
We will focus on the analysis of the features and advantages of the SDe dynamic calibrator (production: SKALS, Denmark), model: SD 1000 / SD 1400 / SD 1800 / SD 2400.
|SD 1000||SD 1400||SD 1800||SD 2400|
|Power||t / hour||15||22,5||30||40|
|Number of factions||размер||3-4-5||3-4-5||3-4-5||3-5|
This machine is used for sorting potatoes, onions, beets.
The principle of operation is shock: the product is thrown, turns over in the air and falls into the grate with its smallest side. The height and frequency of the hops can be adjusted for optimal performance and calibration accuracy. A gear motor controlled by a frequency converter is used as a driving mechanism.
The SDe calibrator differs from various analogs in stability: it operates without interruptions, regardless of the number of hours of operation and the volume of loading. The machine has a limited number of moving parts, which serves as an additional guarantee of reliability.
The sieves are arranged in two tiers, due to which each module can handle three types of fractions.
The machine easily adapts to work with products of different shapes. Farmers who have experience with different types of calibrators are well aware of how many problems sorting elongated potato varieties can cause: as a rule, tubers either get stuck or pass their long side through all sieves (products sorted in this way do not fit the requirements of retail chains). Owners of the SDe calibrator do not face such difficulties: the size range of sieves is very wide, they are produced in increments of 1 mm, which allows you to choose the right options for any grade, for almost all occasions. And if the product does get stuck, the ejection option is triggered: the calibrator gently releases the tuber using a special scraper.
By the way, sieves for the SDe calibrator are made of reinforced rubber, due to this, the products are not damaged during the calibration process (when using calibrators with metal sieves, tuber injuries cannot be avoided), while the sieves perfectly retain their shape, do not sag and do not adhere to dirt (in differences between sieves made simply from rubber).
A great advantage of the SDe calibrator is also the quick and easy replacement of sieves: the process takes one or two steps, literally in 20-30 seconds.
The calibrator is small in size, which makes it easy to integrate into existing lines. But at the request of the customer, the machine can be retrofitted by making individual conveyors, funnels, fall absorbers, etc.
Works quietly (in comparison with analogues).
All models of the SDe Calibrator are equipped with touchscreen control panels, making it intuitive to set up, diagnose and operate the machine.
