LLC "EastAgro Don" carried out a trial run of the line for the production of inulin and oligofructose from Jerusalem artichoke at the plant in the special economic zone "Dankov" of the Lipetsk region, the press service of the SME Corporation reports.
According to the SME Corporation, the processing capacity of the plant will be up to 500 tons of Jerusalem artichoke per day, the annual volume of final products - up to 15 thousand tons. The first harvest will go for processing by October 2021, the products will become available to consumers by the end of this year.
For the implementation of the project, the enterprise received support from the SME Bank in the form of an open credit line in the amount of 955 million rubles, secured by a loan in the form of a guarantee from the SME Corporation in the amount of 495 million rubles. Also, funding in the amount of 175 million rubles was provided by the MIR Foundation.
As reported, the total investment in the project is 2,7 billion rubles. The first stage involves the construction of workshops for the processing of Jerusalem artichoke, the production of oligofructose syrup and granulated pulp feed. The cost of the first stage is 1,4 billion rubles.
At the second stage, it is planned to create an industrial site for deeper processing for the production of inulin and fructooligosaccharides.
As Interfax was told in IstAgro Don, the second stage of the plant is planned to be launched in the fall of 2022.
The products will be sold in the regions of the Russian Federation and exported.
According to the analytical system "SPARK-Interfax", LLC "EastAgro Don" was registered in 2012 in the Dankovsky district of the Lipetsk region. The main activity is research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences. The company is co-owned in equal shares by Moscow-based Istagro LLC and Tenderkom LLC.
