The Government of the Voronezh Region has signed a cooperation agreement with KUN Vostok LLC (a subsidiary of the French group Kuhn), which intends to build a plant for agricultural machinery.
The ceremonial laying of the first stone is scheduled for June 18. The annual capacity of the enterprise will be 500 cars. Investments in the project are estimated at 3 billion rubles.
As the business information agency ABIREG.RUnegotiations on the construction of the plant have been ongoing since 2015, and in October 2017, the company bought 19 hectares of industrial purpose 20 km from the regional center to implement this project. Kuhn planned to launch the first phase of the enterprise in 2020. But the company faced a number of difficulties. So, it took more than a year to solve the problem of connecting the future enterprise to the energy complex. In addition, difficulties arose due to the proximity to the airport of Voronezh (LLC UK Aviaservis). The construction of the plant called into question the further expansion of the air harbor. But, as it became known earlier, the concern nevertheless received the approval of the Federal Air Transport Agency. The conclusion showed that the plant will not affect the operation of radio navigation aids of the Voronezh aerodrome, and will also not impede the take-off and landing of aircraft.
